A new year and a new era for Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia

      This issue of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia (VAA) heralds significant changes in the editorial team. After 10 years as the North American Editor-in-Chief of VAA Professor Cynthia Trim is stepping down from her position. I would like to acknowledge and pay tribute to the tremendous work Cynthia has done on behalf of this journal throughout the past 10 years and express my gratitude to her for the support and advice she has given me during the past 4 years. Our new North American Editor-in-Chief is Dr Daniel Pang from the University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I would also like to take this opportunity to welcome Dr Pang. As many of you will know, Dr Pang has broad research experience including the quality of reporting in the veterinary literature. I believe his arrival will strengthen the editorial team and continue to uphold the high standards to which VAA aspires. I look forward enthusiastically to working alongside Dr Pang.
